Favorite thing about living here

The diversity of languages you can hear on the street. Also it's not hard to find good coffee.

Best time to visit

Spring, when winter is finally behind us and people are out socializing in parks for picnics and barbecues. And summer because the heat! the energy! the rooftop bars & cafes! Everyone looks better in the summer. Just don’t get me started on the winter.

Best summer/winter thing to do

In summer, going for a swim at the outdoor pool Lido and sunbathing right afterwards in London Fields. I love travelling down to Brighton for the day and swimming or doing some stand-up paddle in the sea. In winter, ice skating at Somerset House.

Favorite place to visit

Kew gardens (pictured below) is one of my favorite places in the world. Definitely #1 on my London list. The entire park is spectacular and so carefully built. You can easily spend a whole day there. Summer is the best time to visit, and the entry price is not cheap (£15), but the visit is well worth it. The gardens consist of treetop walkway, sequoia forest, tropical greenhouse and Japanese garden to name a few key attractions.

Best place for breakfast

Morty & Bobs (pictured above). Located on the 2nd floor of Netil House, unless you know about it, you wouldn’t really stumble upon it - the location and the view from the terrasse is what makes this a hidden gem. The inside is all exposed bricks and foliage, and a view over the Overground tracks. Some of my favorites include their specialty homemade granola with coconut yoghurt and sourdough avocado toast. It’s my go-to place when I need to get work done but want to feel like I’m home.

Otherwise if I'm on the go, I love the turmeric and cardamom buns from Pavilion on Columbia Road.

Sager&Wilde, a small wine bar on Hackney Road if I'm with friends. If I'm alone I love a late-night work session at Close-up Cinema, the film place right off Brick Lane.
